Video Tour, Philadelphia Real Estate Near Art Museum, Fairmount Park, Barnes Foundation

If living steps away from world renowned art
collections and the vast green spaces of Fairmount Park excites you, then Philadelphia’s Art
Museum Area is a prime neighborhood to explore. With the Benjamin Franklin Parkway as its
main artery, this neighborhood boasts an array of fine museums including the Philadelphia
Museum of Art, the Barnes Foundation, the Rodin Museum, the Academy of Natural Sciences,
the Franklin Institute and more. Its residential side is a mix of high rise
condominium buildings and blocks of historical row houses. A few loft conversions and newer
townhouses are mixed in. Prices are not quite as expensive as in Rittenhouse Square and
Society Hill, and with so much to offer its residence, the Art Museum Area can feel like
a bargain. At its center, the Art Museum Area is park-like with expansive greenways and
mature trees lining the Ben Franklin Parkway. And that is a big reason many people choose
to live here. This neighborhood is walkable to Center City
and very close to commuter routes and 30th Street Train station, adding to its appeal.
Also nearby is Fairmount Park, 4,100 acres of recreational area perfect for city dwellers
who need to be close to nature. The park includes many historical buildings, including the first
waterworks in the United States and an array of colonial era homes, public sculptures,
and trails suitable for biking, running, and other athletic pursuits. For more information about living in the Art
Museum Area, please contact our Philadelphia Office.
