Lifting a Foundation With Push Piers

Lifting a Foundation With Push Piers

How does Interwest lift a sunken foundation? First we excavate the footing of the foundation, and install plate brackets by chipping out a spot for them, and attaching them to the foundation wall with wedge anchors. Next, we drive each individual pier until we reach the required pressure to support the house. Then all the piers are connected together so that theey can work together to lift the house. This creates a higher safety capacity because of the redundancy in the system. After the lift has been completed all of the piers are locked into place with high quality bolts. After that it’s a matter of cutting off the excess pipe, backfilling over the finished system, and the home is back on a firm foundation.
