    In the U.S., the net you used is called plastic canvas, and is usually found in the needlepoint section of craft stores/departments. I've used it in the past to make sculptures, containers, doll furniture, and so on. Strangely, I never thought of it to make a texture sheet. Time to correct that. There is also a smaller mesh available (though harder to find) – 10 count in size, rather than the standard 7 count you used. I can see some fascinating projects coming from a combination of the two!
